DVSA roadworthiness guide now covers electronic brake performance monitoring

 

EBPMS (electronic braking performance monitoring systems), which assess truck and trailer braking performance by continuously analysing braking data during driving, is now accepted under the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness.

The DVSA (the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) issued full guidance on the new measure, which amends the existing Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness and offers detailed minimum requirements for EBPMS and their use.
